Welcome to the Charis Atlanta Alumni Association!

Hi Alumni, Tom here!

I am excited to reach out to you today and introduce Dana Riley, Coordinator of Charis Atlanta Alumni Association or Ca3. Dana is an alumni from the Atlanta Campus and she had a strong desire and direction to reach out and stir up other Charis Alumni. Please watch the video from Dana and be on the lookout as she will be contacting you soon to share more Ca3 news!

Blessings! Tom

A note from Dana:

As an apprentice at Charis Bible College Atlanta, I began to have the desire in my heart to stir others up.  In 2 Peter 1:12, 13 & 15, Peter writes,

12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, …15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

and in chapter 3 those words are echoed when he writes of stirring up your pure minds by way of remembrance.  A study of the word, “stir,” shows the meaning to be awaken, arouse (as from a sleep), agitate (like a clothes washer). We all need stirring up.  Our minds are pure.  We’ve been established.  But we need stirring.

There is a great resource with the Charis Alumni that we need to be tapping into for 1) remembrance, 2) support, 3) encouragement, 4) fellowship, & 5) celebration.  It seems to me that we should be networking within the alumni so that being said I want to announce to you the start-up of the Charis Atlanta Alumni Association (Ca3).

Ca3 is a group dedicated to the roots, shoots, and fruits.  Roots represent our foundation – those deep roots we’ve established need to be maintained.  Shoots represent new growth – for example new relationships, ministries, ideas & visions.  Fruits represent our future; our potential – we need to be getting ready for and expecting a harvest!

We have setup some events so  I hope you’ll plan to join us for some fun, food, & fellowship, and of course prepare to stir up and be stirred up!

Events are scheduled for the NE area July 23rd, NW area Aug. 20th, SW area Sept. 24th, and SE area October 15. Please see map & FAQ’s for information below.

Blessings!
Dana
